Malam Ngobrol santai (dan Malam Bedah Buku – watch this space)

Book Club Discussion on 24 July 2020: ‘Man Tiger (Lelaki Harimau)’ by Eka Kurniawan

On Friday 24 July, a small group of BBI (ACT) Book Club members and friends braved a cool winter evening at the home of the Education and Culture Attache at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra for a discussion of the novel, ‘Man Tiger (Lelaki Harimau)’, by Indonesian author, Eka Kurniawan.  Despite the frigid air outside, the discussion of this landmark novel by one of Indonesia’s most prominent novelists was conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere.  So much more could have been discussed but time was unfortunately limited…….Particular thanks to our Book Club Coordinator, Ida Nurhayati, for organising a first class discussion.
